Rogz started in a 2-bedroom in Blouberg, a suburb of Cape Town, producing sunglass straps and watch straps for the American market. In 1999 we visited the guys in South Africa and together they developed what is now the funky hip surfy pet brand Rogz. Surf-style collars and leashes were the first products for Pets. The so-called taffetta was woven with flip designs and sewn onto the nylon strap, giving Rogz its cool look. But the look alone was not enough, the "Fort Nox" for plastic fasteners was designed in Switzerland and implemented by a Swiss in South Africa.

The "Buckle" is still the Mercedes among collar fasteners. Quality and design have always accompanied Rogz over the years and have been the main input in all the new products, helping to make products fun and exciting for animals and people.
Today Rogz is sold in over 65 countries and is one of the leading companies in the pet market.
Production development is still happening just as it did in the beginning, on the surfboard in good weather at one of the beautiful beaches in Cape Town.
