We set the course for the future and invest in a state-of-the-art, fully automated container storage system of 5'000m2 and thus expand the warehouse logistics. At the same time, the existing high-bay warehouse is fully automated. As a trading and logistics company, known in the pet supplies sector for its own brands Freezack, bePure, In-Fluence and Snuggis, as well as the long-standing distribution of Rogz and other brands, we are thus setting a new milestone in the company history of BusinessCom AG.
Our BusinessCom location in Biglen, the warehouse of the former Bigla office furniture factory, will thus be strengthened. "We are happy to be able to realise the expansion here and to look to the future with the region," says Jürg Fuhrer, CEO of BusinessCom AG. With SSI Schäfer, a globally active supplier of modular storage and logistics systems, a competent partner could be found to realise this double-digit million project.
The financing has been fully secured and the starting signal for the project will be given these days. The expansion of the facility with an intelligent container system for storage, order picking and transport, and the automation of the high-bay warehouse is to go into operation step by step from May 2022.
This important expansion triples our capacity and more than meets the increasing market demands of today. Digitalisation, which is indispensable due to the booming online trade, is becoming an important cornerstone for the foundation of the company's future. With this step, we will remain competitive in Switzerland with our high quality standards. For us, automation is not about cutting jobs, but about creating additional capacity in logistics and offering a modern working environment now and in the future.
